It is now September, the kids are back in school and Summer is over, Fall is on the way and Winter not far behind.  We just returned from the Marion County Blueberry Festival.  What a wild weekend, Friday and Saturday temperatures in the 90's and 100's with 100 percent humidity.  Sunday and Monday temperatures dropped to 50-70 degrees and everyone need jackets.  The vendor across from us was selling hats and scarfs, did nothing Friday or Saturday, sales jumped Sunday and Monday.  Just goes to show you never know.

We discovered that some shows are not the best for our products, and that was one of the worst for us.  No one really wanted to carry a bird feeder much less the Tela-Pole around and parking was far from our booth; so sales were slow to say the least.

We did sell all the hummingbird feeders, and oriole feeders that we had, so things were not all bad.  We met lots of great bird feeding friends and I learned things that I did not know about butterfly's, raccoons and squirrels.  It is so nice that everyone I met is so knowledgeable and willing to share, because I love to learn new things all the time.

We are going to the Valparaiso In Popcorn Festival this Saturday so if you are in the area come by our booth and say Hi.  Our booth is located on Lafayette and Lincolnway just around the corner from the Front Porch Music.

I had a wonderful young boy that was telling me all about the butterfly and how he ate at the feeders we sell, whomever his teacher was last year did a great job, he even remember the name of the feeder or proboscis .  He explained how it functioned and everything.

Day is getting late, so I hope to see many of you at the Popcorn Festival on Saturday September 10th.  Check out the website for the "new" products we have added, including the 2 arm Tela-Pole in white and clay.  The pictures are from the Blueberry Festival, so you can see the Circus tent we were in.  That tent was a life saver when the weather changed, and the wind blew.

Remember to keep your hummingbird feeders clean and full for the migrating birds, they will love the food and rest on their journey to South America.

That's it for today.

Donnee
